Like any other muscle group in our body, our pelvic floor muscles and core can be affected by increased pressure, strain, and injury. The increased weight and additional changes of the body during pregnancy puts a lot of pressure on the pelvic floor and can lead to injury and dysfunction, which can impact how we feel and function on a daily basis. We provide pelvic floor therapy services for pregnant women between weeks 13-36 unless contraindications are present as well as wellness services for women in all stages of pregnancy .

Pregnancy is an excellent time to be seen by a pelvic floor therapist to help you understand and connect with your pelvic floor and core in order to prepare for birth, postpartum, and the transition into motherhood.

We also provide wellness services including pelvic floor birth prep and PREVENTION for common pregnancy and postpartum conditions including prolapse.

Pelvic floor therapy can help relieve common, but treatable issues that arise during pregnancy such as:

Pelvic Floor Therapy can help rehabilitate conditions caused by pregnancy and childbirth as well as provide education and training to ease the transition into motherhood and empower mothers.
